What We Do

Thanks to our generous supporters, team and volunteers, we launched our Degreed Immigrant Job Seeker Program October 14th, 2021.

Session 1: Welcome to the Program -- Participants learn more about the objectives for the program and together, establish specific group norms for the program. Facilitators: Team Prosperity Ready

Session 2: Well being  -- Participants learn how to engage in self-care that will help them succeed in their career. Guest Facilitators: Mitch Rosenbloom and Nicole West, Wellness Experts

Session 3: Resume Writing and Personal Branding -- Participants learn how to present their value by highlighting their personal brand and quantifying their success. Guest Facilitator: KC Foley, Career Navigation Consultant

Session 4: Navigating LinkedIn -- Participants learn how to get connected and noticed on this important platform. Guest Facilitator: Richard Dodson, Author and LinkedIn Expert

Session 5: Impression Management and Networking -- Participants learn how to build and sustain their networks. Guest Facilitators: David Magy, Executive Recruiting Firm Owner, and Rosemond Sarpong Owens, Health Care, Diversity and Inclusion Expert, Author

Session 6: Networking -- Participants learn the best practices and processes for networking. Guest Facilitator: Nathan A. Perez, Best Selling Author, Career Navigation Coach

Session 7 Part 1 & 2: Corporate Culture -- Participants learn how employers manage their workforce and how to have a successful first 90 days at a new job. Q&A with a panel of professionals at the end. Facilitators: Team Prosperity Ready

Session 8: Interviewing and Negotiating Offers -- Participants learn the best practices for interviewing with potential employers and tips for how to make themselves stand out. Q&A with a panel of local HR experts at the end. Guest Facilitator: KC Foley

Session 9: Employer Introductions -- Participants will hear from local employers and can share their resumes. Employer partner Toro.
