  • Board Biographies

    Jinah Chernivec: Human Resources Executive with two decades of experience, currently CHRO and Risk Officer for Goodwill Easter Seals, Minnesota. Board member for Link Public Schools, Itasca Project CHRO DEI member, governing member for Evanta MSP CHRO network. MS, St. Cloud University, MBA, Business Administration from University of St. Thomas.

    Jackson George Jr.: Founder and President of Strategy Africa, Honorary General Consul Republic of Liberia in Minnesota, Executive Director of Liberian Business Administration Associate in the Diaspora, CEO of Comfortable Living, highly respected community leader and advocate. MBA and BA from Concordia.

    Cheryl Myhr: Large Accounts Sales Representative for Liberty Carton Company for 34 years. Over four decades of volunteer and/or financial supporter for numerous nonprofits. Served on the Board of Directors of Freedom Works for 3.5 years. BA from University of Northern Iowa, ongoing education through Lay School of Luther Seminary and Augsburg College.

    Michelle Nyamushanya: IT Manager, Business and Systems Analysis for Be the Match. Over eight years of board experience, including three as President of Friends for Africa Education. Led strategic planning and fundraising for Encouragement Encounters LLC. BA from St. Catherine University. MBA from Hamline University.

    Kara Sime: Owner of Your HR Navigator consulting firm with over 20 years of HR experience, Board Chair for Roseville Area Schools Foundation, Board seat for Center for HR Resources and Labor Studies. MBA, Carlson School of Management, BA University of St. Thomas.

    Jote Taddese: Jote is the VP of Engineering Strategy, Architecture and Platforms for Rally Health. Jote is a social entrepreneur and co-founder of DiaspoCare, LLC. He holds a BA degree in Management Information Systems from Luther College and a Master’s in Software Engineering from the University of St. Thomas. Jote is the former Board President of Books for Africa.

    Lulit Woldeselassie: Banking professional with over 10 years of international and domestic experience, three years (ongoing) of program evaluation design and implementation for Minnesota International NGO Network and Hiwot Integrated Development Association in Ethiopia. BA in Business Management, Addis Ababa University, MBA in nonprofit management, Hamline University.
